We are seeking a motivated and detail orientated Project Officer to join our team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team and contribute to meaningful building projects that make a real impact

About the role

In this dynamic role you will be responsible for delivering end to end project management whilst supporting building inspections and preparing accurate repair estimates. You will play a vital role in ensuring project success through strong coordination, documentation and stakeholder engagement.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of building related projects
  • Provide support in building inspections and preparation of repair estimates 
  • Administer contracts ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines
  • Coordinate and manage multiple tenders liaising with suppliers, trades contractors and supervisors 
  • Prepare tender documentation, schematics and marked up plans for review and execution 
  • Read and interpret building plans and technical specs and scopes of work to make informed project decisions and planning 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Trade or tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • proven experience in project delivery and contract administration within construction or building maintenance sector
  • strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • a collaborative and solution focussed approach with a commitment to quality outcomes.

Other important information

  • The commencing salary for this position is up to $90,259. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $104,585 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 11.5% superannuation 
  • We have a permanent role available 
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite 
  • This role is located at the Long Jetty Depot
