  • Salary $40.17 per hour (includes 25% casual loading) + 12% superannuation 

About the role

The Casual Educator Certificate III plays a pivotal role in delivering quality education and care across our Council’s Childcare Centres throughout the Central Coast region. Your primary responsibility will be to cover both planned and unplanned leave for educators, ensuring that children receive effective education and care that aligns with our community's learning objectives.

This role not only requires a commitment to educational excellence but also demands strong customer service skills to positively impact the community we serve.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for adaptable, motivated individuals who are committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children.

  • Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Prior experience in a long day care setting with children aged six weeks to five years, along with a solid understanding of early childhood practises and the National Quality Framework.
  • Applicants will be required to provide evidence of Boostrix (Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Diptheria); MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Hepatitis A & B or the commencement of these vaccinations prior to commencement

The successful candidate will exhibit strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships, and a flexible approach to work hours within the childcare centre’s operating times.
