About the role

The Reception Officer plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality customer service at our Wyong Olympic Pool. This position involves being the first point of contact for visitors, providing them with essential information about our facilities, programs, and services.

The successful candidate will assist in supervising public entry, managing memberships, and maintaining a welcoming reception area. The Reception Officer will also perform various administrative tasks while ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Proven experience in cash handling and operating computerised point of sale systems.
  • Strong background in customer service roles, demonstrating a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A commitment to safety and compliance with health regulations is essential.

Other important information

  • The commencing salary for this position is up to $29.66 per hour. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $34.36 per hour on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation. Weekend rates apply for weekend work. 
  • We have a temporary part-time role available until March 2026 with the potential for other opportunities. 
  • This role is located at the Wyong Olympic Pool.

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
