About the role

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of a variety of capital and operating projects. Reporting to the Team Leader of the Project Management Team, this individual will lead a team of specialists to ensure effective delivery of capital works and environmental projects in alignment with the Central Coast Council’s Operational Plan and Project Management Framework.

This position demands a commitment to providing quality customer service, while creating value for the community through effective project, contract and stakeholder management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, particularly in public infrastructure project, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and implement effective project plans and budgets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering successful outcomes.

Other important information

• The commencing salary for this position is up to $106.6K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $123.5K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation and 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance and Quarterly Vehicle Allowance. This role offers market loading for the right candidate based on skills and experience. 
• We have a permanent full time position available
• This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
• We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
• This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
