Project Support Officer

  • Temporary full-time role for 12 months
  • Commencing salary: $1,257.78 to $1,511.98 per week + superannuation

The role of Project Support Officer is to be responsible for providing efficient coordination and control support to project participants including support to bidders, vendors, contractors, consultants and clients and providing administrative support services to assigned projects and team members. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include: 

  • Provision of effective and timely support to the Asset Delivery team in delivering a range of organisational initiatives across the Central Coast.
  • Managing all document control processes, project cycles, registration and distribution of correspondence in associated Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS). 
  • Maintenance of Council's corporate systems to ensure all related functions are accurately processed in accordance with relevant statutory and legislative requirements.

Essential Criteria:

  • a Certificate IV qualification in project Management, Business Administration or related field, combined with ongoing professional development
  • a current Class C Drivers Licence. 
  • demonstrated experience in the provision of project support within water, construction, maintenance or civil industries, with the ability to provide high level administrative, coordination and management support
  • previous document control experience in an engineering project environment or data management environment using an electronic document management system, such as ACONEX, Content Manager and/ or SharePoint
  • working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, Acrobat, file management tools and the ability to learn other software tools as required
  • proven communication/ interpersonal skills to build relationships with the immediate and remote team members.
