Systems Controller (Casual)

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your knowledge of water and sewer networks in our Water Operations Centre. We are currently seeking new Systems Controller's and if you have these skills this might be your opportunity to rewrite the future with us!

About the role

You will be responsible for monitoring system availability, configuration and performance of the Water and Sewer systems in real time, proactively controlling systems operations to minimise the impact of system failures. In addition, you will be responsible for prioritising and triaging work orders for the dispatch of work crews, and providing technical expertise and advice to field staff as required. 

Shifts involve 12 hour day and night shifts to cover a 24/7 roster, Monday to Sunday. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • a Certificate IV qualification in Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in water and/or sewage network management within water and sewer disciplines or experience in a similar role. 
  • a current Class C Drivers Licence. 
  • experience and understanding of the operational management of a distrusted network of assets. 
  • experience and understanding of water, wastewater and networks. 
  • the ability to effectively utilise information technology, including computerised control & monitoring systems (e.g. SCADA) and geographical information systems.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $49 to $59 per hour + 25% Casual Loading + shift penalties as per Award + 12% superannuation 
  • This is a casual role
  • This role is located at the Nexus Business Hub, North Wyong.
