  • Deliver quality education and care programs for the children in our community. 
  • Work/Life Balance - 19 day month for full-time roles only.
  • Permanent full-time and part-time (16 hours) per week available at our Umina Centre.
  • Temporary full-time position available at our Terrigal centre, Job Share opportunity available. 
  • Commencing salary: $1,308 to $1,572 per week (pro rata for part-time) + 12% superannuation

The role of Educator Diploma is responsible for the provision of effective education and care that encourages positive learning outcomes and meets Council’s objective of making the Central Coast a place of continual learning.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include: 

  • Be a positive contributor to the team and deliver high quality education and care in accordance with National Quality Framework/CCC’s policies and procedures
  • Use your knowledge and experience to develop and implement customised educational programs in line with the EYLF learning outcomes and individual needs and interests of children
  • Support the team, assist with problem solving, and offer great ideas to keep our activities fresh and relevant
  • Build relationships with children, families and carers to make them feel welcome and connected in our education and care community
  • Take a responsible and professional approach to supervision of children and their overall wellbeing
  • Complete relevant documentation and administration associated with the position

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR & Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Drive and passion for delivering exceptional education and care to children 

Successful candidates may/will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity. 

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
