About the role

As the Team Leader Civic Support, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Civic Support team and ensuring that all business administration services meet the requirements of the Council and its stakeholders. You will coordinate and deliver executive and administration support for Council meetings, committees and panels and be responsible for supporting the Council meeting support strategy to ensure key statutory and governance requirements.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Diploma qualification in Business Administration or related field or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role combined with ongoing professional development
  • demonstrated communication skills in a work setting including ability to prepare complex documents with a high attention of detail
  • proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, changing work environment and plan for contingencies
  • extensive experience in the interpretation of information or situations including the ability problem solve or formulate recommendations
  • significant experience in building strong, credible relationships and influencing outcomes that are of benefit or value
  • Demonstrated leadership experience to actively lead and develop a team
  • Ability to be able to work flexible hours to attend Council meetings in evenings

  • Competitive salary commencing from $97k - dependent on qualification, skills and experience plus 11.5% superannuation 
  • We have a permanent full-time available
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
