About the role

The Return to Work Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of all Council employees. This position is responsible for the establishment, promotion, and maintenance of occupational health return to work strategies and programs, aimed at safeguarding employees from health risks arising from their work or environment.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • demonstrated experience in a relevant role
  • SafeWork NSW accreditation as a rehabilitation coordinator
  • significant experience in rehabilitation program management
  • ability to read and interpret medical reports and assessments effectively
  • comprehensive knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and injury management practices.

Other important information

  • Competitive salary commencing from $90,478.54 - dependent on qualification, skills and experience plus 11.5% superannuation 
  • We have 2 permanent full-time roles available
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building and will also be working in depots, as required.
