We seek an enthusiastic and appropriately experienced individual to join our Financial Operational Team. Reporting to the Team Leader of Rates, this position needs your high level experience and skills to provide an efficient rates and revenue service. About the role

You will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient rates and revenue service for the Council and Community. Daily you will be resolving enquiries; making sure all statutory requirements are being met during resolution, preparing and maintaining revenue related activities and coordinating and prioritising workloads. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Accounting, Business Administration or related field or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Considerable experience in a similar financial role in a medium/large size organisation
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated industry ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, policy and procedure while operating efficiently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of internal and external customers
  • Customer focused attitude with the ability to build and maintain quality relationships with staff and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a diverse and legislative driven environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail including the ability to navigate and maintain a database, data capture, management and integrity and assist with database submission and reporting
  • Demonstrated basic level of experience with a variety of software packages.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $63.6K - $76.4K plus 11.5% superannuation
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role. 
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building. 

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
