About the role

This role will see you provide day to day leadership to a team of professionals delivering service support to Central Coast Councils Water and Sewer infrastructure and function. Along with day to day leadership you will be managing transformational projects enabling ongoing provision of Water and Sewer services to the Central Coast community.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering or other relevant field, combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Proven success as a leader with the ability to grow and develop teams focused on quality outcomes, customer focus, legislative compliance and safety.
  • Extensive experience in investigation / design / construction / operation of water supply and / or sewerage systems.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position ranges from $170K inclusive of 11.5% superannuation,  plus 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance available for eligible candidates in accordance with the Local Government State Award.
  • This is a Permanent full-time role.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role. 
  • This role is located at Nexus Building.
  • Successful candidates may be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus.

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week ($10,780.12 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles, alternately a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week ($10,780.12 per annum) is also an available option. 

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
