  • Commencing salary range between $57,180.90 to $64,690.10 + superannuation + Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions allowance

The role of Crew Member Operator is responsible for competently operating small trucks and other plant items as part of a team on the State and Regional roads network. You will be undertaking general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete, lawn maintenance and drainage works, implementing and maintaining sedimentation and erosion control measures. You will also undertake traffic control, concreting including formwork, steel fixing and finishing, pipe laying duties.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include: 

  • Working confidently as part of a team
  • Operating a variety of different types of trucks and plant including concrete tools and devices 
  • Traffic control and general labouring

Essential Criteria:

  • Current MR Driver’s Licence
  • Current RMS Traffic Controller Certificate (Blue Card)
  • Current RMS Traffic Control Implementation (Yellow Card)
  • Current Construction General Induction card – WorkSafe or equivalent

Successful candidates may/will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity. 

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
