About the role

The role of the Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cost-effective planning for, and execution of, the detailed cleaning of Central Coast Council's Leisure Centres to the quality and frequency required.

Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to solve problems and able to follow a set schedule of works independently.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Clean toilets and change facilities within leisure centres. 
  • Clean and vacuum offices and public areas. 
  • Notify and report on works requiring attention.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence;
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in cleaning public amenities;
  • Experience in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with staff and the public;
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $27.8k - $33.4k plus 11.5% superannuation
  • This is a Permanent part-time role
  • This role has a rotating roster over 7 days between 6am - 12am with regular weekend work 
  • Successful candidates will be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus.

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
