Your objective is to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence through on the job training and study to complete your Diploma Traineeship, applying those skills to provide quality child care that encourages early childhood learning and development. 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Traineeship program requires the successful applicants to enter a Training Contract for up to 2 years. As part of their individual Training Plans Trainees are required to undertake and complete a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care within the period of the Traineeship. 

Successful candidates will need to be available for rostered shifts between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. 

We have positions available in Niagara Park and Wyong.

Applicants must meet screening requirements for existing qualifications which determine eligibility for a traineeship.

Please Note – Employment beyond the term of the Traineeship is neither automatically offered nor guaranteed.

What will you be doing each day?

  • Assisting our teams to provide quality education and care to children;
  • Building your knowledge and understanding of the National Regulations, National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework;
  • Obtaining knowledge, skills and competence through tertiary qualifications and on the job training;
  • Developing and implementing new skills and embracing new ideas, welcoming feedback on performance and input from others.

What do you need to apply?

  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to any offer of employment);
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care;
  • A positive and friendly attitude with great interpersonal skills and genuine interest in being a supportive team member;
  • Ability to study independently and prioritise tasks to complete assignments within required timeframes;
  • Willingness and ability to work a variety of shifts between a spread of hours from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Applicants may be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus (Boostrix), MMR and Varicella or demonstrate their immunity. CMV screening will be required.

This role provides a salary commencing from $834.48 per week (dependent upon age, years of schooling and other qualifications) + allowance + 11% superannuation. (Successful candidates may also be eligible for Government incentives of up to $5,000 in Australian Apprentice Training Support Payments).
