As a Talent Acquisition Officer you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of talent acquisition activities for the organisation and you will partner with a Business in providing specialised recruitment case management and stakeholder support.

The position of Talent Acquisition Officer is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Delivering high standards of talent acquisition services to ensure a positive candidate and client experience
  • Champion the employee value proposition for Central Coast Council to attract high-calibre candidates and build talent pools
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to assist in attracting, selecting and appointing candidates aligned to the role and organisational culture.

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business, or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in generalist Human Resources, Business Management or Talent Acquisition roles, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Proven success and experience in innovative and best practice recruitment, including the development and coordination of timely and successful end-to-end recruitment to support effective attraction and retention in a complex organisational environment
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering programs and initiatives that support business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver detailed reporting to ensure management is well informed and recruitment trends are identified for improved business performance
  • Proven ability to maintain data and system integrity for regulatory compliance and accurate reporting
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation in an inclusive manner to achieve successful recruitment outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities to ensure objectives are met as agreed
  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing technical expertise, coaching and advice to relevant staff to allow them to effectively undertake their recruitment responsibilities and duties
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence, persuade or negotiate outcomes that add value to the organisation
  • Proven ability to assess and interpret information to formulate recommendations and provide specialist advice to enable the organisation to achieve quality outcomes.
