This newly created Business Manager role provides leadership and direction to a team of professionals to prioritise and enhance customer experience for Water and Sewer through researching into, delivering on educational programs and engagement with customers and community in relation to Water and Sewer requirements, services, priorities and projects.

Along with leadership you will also be managing and reviewing a range of internal interfaces, technologies, strategies and projects to be able to present current commercial and customer priorities and work on delivery of future planning for the Water and Sewer business, forming the basis of Council’s ongoing revenue proposal to IPART.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Leading a team of professionals to drive a commercial and customer focused service;
  • Providing leadership and support to the team to enable effective monitoring, analysis and reporting on IPART process/project deliverables along with engaging with the customers and community;
  • Leading the strategic establishment and oversight of robust governance arrangements to ensure effective decision making and sign off processes;
  • Leading the engagement and education of the community on water and sewer services and growing the community knowledge of water into the future.

Is this you?

  • Extensive experience leading business improvements and complex projects including engagement, customer focused services, managing budgets, risk management, resources and financial forecasting;
  • Proven leadership with managing and reporting on pricing regulator process and project deliverables;
  • Strong business acumen and outstanding knowledge of contemporary practices and frameworks.

A vehicle may be provided for official duties and private use leaseback in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. Alternately a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is also an available option.
