The Crew Member position is responsible for safely and competently operating small trucks and other plant items in a team environment. This role undertakes general labouring tasks to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete and drainage works. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Safely and competently operate various types of small trucks and plant
  • Undertake general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete and drainage works
  • Implement and maintain sedimentation and erosion control measures
  • Undertaking traffic control, concreting including formwork, steel fixing and finishing, pipe laying duties
  • Take direction and work as a team member to accomplish allocated tasks

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Current RMS Traffic Controller Certificate (Blue Card)
  • Current Construction General Induction card – WorkSafe or equivalent
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in small truck and plant operation associated with civil works
  • Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of roads and related infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of sedimentation and erosion control measures
  • Demonstrated awareness of and knowledge/experience in the use of a Maintenance Management System e.g. REFLECT

This role provides a commencing salary range of $937 to $1,123 per week ($48.8K to $58.5K per annum) + Superannuation + $17 Weekly Allowance. 

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. 

Successful candidates will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
