This role is responsible for the investigation and monitoring of tree policies, practices and preservation amongst land developments new and existing. You will be delivering Central Coast Council’s tree management program using your advanced knowledge of Arboricultural practices in accordance with the objectives of Council and relevant legislation, .

Our ideal candidate will be looking to progress in the field of Arboriculture, be community minded and have an ability to provide high level customer service. You will also be safety conscious and enjoy working in the outdoors with varied tree management situations on public and occasional private land. 

Key activities of this role include:

  • Undertaking arboriculture assessments on public trees throughout the Central Coast Council LGA;
  • Assessing and determining customer requests for public tree management and occasional applications for private tree works;
  • Providing contract management for the provision of complex tree services, dealing with internal and external customers and contractors.

About You:

  • You have an AQF 5 qualification in Arboriculture, OR an AQF 3 qualification in Arboriculture with extensive experience in a Tree Assessment role and currently enrolled AQF 5 qualification in Arboriculture;
  • You enjoy knowing that your work protects the community and the environment;
  • You have high level knowledge and experience surrounding various arboriculture challenges and risks;
  • You enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise, while also learning from others;

This role provides a commencing salary range of $66 to $79K per week + Superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role.
