The Supervisor Mechanic Light is responsible for the smooth running and management of Councils light mechanic and small plant workshop. Your role is responsible for overseeing all practices and procedures within the workshop, ensuring maximum availability of Councils light vehicle and small plant assets. You will be required to engage with apprentices, employees and other supervisors within the Plant and Fleet Unit. Providing quality customer service and training as well as being a role model and workplace coach will be a large part of your role.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Our ideal candidate will be organised, motivated and have experience leading and developing a team of mechanics. You will have excellent customer service skills, fantastic problem-solving skills and understand that safety is paramount in a workshop environment.

This role provides a commencing salary range between $1,276 to $1,467 per week ($66,554 to $76,518 per annum) + Superannuation + Commuter Use Vehicle
A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
