As Pavement Engineer, you will work as part of a team to finalise and deliver the annual Capital Road Renewal Program based on the Four Year Delivery Program including project scoping, cost estimation, project resourcing and scheduling. Within this varied role you will manage projects such as renewals, reconstructions, rehabilitation and preservation works

Key activities of this role include:

  • Coordinating geotechnical testing, pre-construction activities and the preparation of pavement designs to support cost-effective and timely delivery of the Capital Road Renewal Program;
  • Liaising with other asset owners and stakeholders including public utility providers and government departments to coordinate project scheduling and facilitate a place-making approach to project delivery;
  • Provide technical support to other Road, Transport & Drainage Sections in relation to project delivery, pavement design and in resolving construction related design issues.

About You:

  • You are qualified in Civil Engineering or a related field, with experience in areas such as road pavement technology, road renewal treatments, pavement design and geotechnical testing;
  • You have a thorough knowledge of various ground conditions and bring your combination of technical skills and on job experience to your decision making process;

This role provides a salary range between $77.7K to $93.3K per annum (inclusive of 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance) + superannuation.

A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.
