The Project Officer- Program Delivery manages road line marking contracts and other contracts related to road maintenance across the local government area. You will effectively liaise with contractors, including negotiating price variations and claims, evaluating time extensions, mediation and resolution of conflicts, monitoring of compliance with project specifications and building packages of work.

Key activities of this role include:  

  • Conduct regular site inspections and testing to ensure that works carried out in compliance with work plans, technical specifications and relevant standards;
  • Provide support and assistance to the Section Manager Program Delivery in the delivery of a range of organisational initiatives which relate to maintenance service delivery;
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and presentation of Council reports, briefings and Councillor updates relating to projects for both internal and external stakeholders.

About You:

  • You have qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field with knowledge and experience in pavement and line marking practice;
  • You have experience in delivering a range of infrastructure and/ or service projects;
  • You enjoy working alongside a broad range of professionals to take a project to completion;
  • You have an eye for detail when it comes to contract administration;
  • Having a work/life balance is important to you.

This role provides a salary range between $75.1k to $90.1k per annum + superannuation.

A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.
