The Learning and Development Lead Specialist oversees the day-to-day work and functions of the learning and development team, collaborating with others to complete the programs and projects of the section. In this role you will provide value add Learning and Development strategies and expertise that support current and future business needs and build organisational capability.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a team, development and implementation of learning frameworks and the implementation of learning management systems. The ideal candidate will also have skills in training design and facilitation, operational training, and excellent communication skills encompassing consultation.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Develop a learning framework to support ongoing organisational learning, supported by independent learning activities including but not limited to eLearning, peer coaching and networking;
  • Develop targeted training programs, content, resources and e-learning solutions to support organisational objectives;
  • Oversee the engagement with key stakeholders to understand business needs, required training solutions and develop and manage an appropriate budget to respond.

This role provides a salary range of between $85k to $102k per annum + superannuation

A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.
