  • Salary range between $1,689 to $2,027 per week ($88,092 to $105,714 per annum inclusive of Civil Liability Allowance of 3.5%) + superannuation + leaseback vehicle

The Team Leader Program Support oversees the day-to-day work and functioning of an asset support team and drives collaboration with other asset management teams to complete the programs and projects of the section. This will be achieved through the management of professional and technical staff responsible for asset data management, asset capitalisation, asset reporting and asset system administration as well as the investigation of road and drainage capital work upgrades and preparation of customer responses. 

A particular emphasis of the role is on the development of the Capital Work Upgrade programs and in providing support to other Asset Management Team Leaders to coordinate reporting and ensure consistency quality outcomes across the Section and Division.

Key activities of this role include: 

  • Manage the day to day functions of the Program Support Team and provide technical advice in relation to asset data, asset reporting, capital upgrade priorities and program development;
  • Investigate requests for road and drainage capital work upgrades and identify projects for future work programs including project assessment and ranking, concept plan development and cost estimation;
  • Prepare draft Capital Work Upgrade Programs including concept scoping and cost estimation to input into the Four Year Delivery Program and Long Term Financial Plan.
  • Coordinate asset reporting requirements based on input from the other Asset Management Team Leaders.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in asset management, combined with ongoing professional development;
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence

Desirable Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Financial Management and Reporting.

A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. 

Civil Liability Allowance applies only to applicants who are Engineering professionals.


PLEASE NOTE: The Local Government Act 1993 provides that an employee may be moved from their former position to a new position in the new organisational structure provided that the new position has 'substantially the same duties' as the former position.

In determining what constitutes 'substantially the same duties' consideration will be given to the following factors, with an alignment of at least 80% required to the new role for it to be deemed a lateral transfer opportunity.
